We usually admire and discuss the homes they designed for someone else. But have you ever wondered what the house of the late Zaha Hadid looks like? Featured in the Metropolis article “Inside the Homes and Workspaces of 8 Great Architects“, these unique spaces offer us an opportunity to see how the great architects of our times chose to shape their own private spaces. The houses were documented for a project named “Where Architects Live”, presented in an exhibition that took place in the 2014 Milan Design Week.

The list of architects, whose spaces are showcased, include Shigeru Ban, Mario Bellini, David Chipperfield, Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, Zaha Hadid, Marcio Kogan, Daniel Libeskind and Bijoy Jain of Studio Mumbai.
