HOW ARCHITECTS DEPICT THE HUMAN FIGURE FROM RENAISSANCE UNTIL TODAY - COLLECTION OF DRAWINGS BY NOOR MAKKIYA

Noor Makkiya, a New York-based architect has collected a series of drawings drafted by famous architects, from Leonardo da Vinci to SANAA and Frank Gehry, which represent their perception of human body, their special character and personal style.

 

In Makkiya`s words: “If we compare drawings from different architects, we frequently find differences in body shape and body activity — as practicing architects often represent their own ideologies as a reference for understanding the human physical condition“.
