Tο European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies με έδρα το Δουβλίνο και την Αθήνα και το Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design με έδρα την Γκαλένα στο Ιλινόις της Αμερικής, προκηρύσσουν την υποβολή συμμετοχών για τo Europe 40 Under 40®, ένα ετήσιο πρόγραμμα που βραβεύει την νέα ταλαντούχα γενιά Ευρωπαίων αρχιτεκτόνων και βιομηχανικών σχεδιαστών!
ΠΑΡΑΤΑΣΗ ΗΜΕΡΟΜΗΝΙΑΣ ΣΥΜΜΕΤΟΧΩΝ ΕΩΣ 15 ΔΕΚΕΜΒΡΙΟΥ
Το πρόγραμμα απευθύνεται αποκλειστικά σε αρχιτέκτονες και βιομηχανικούς σχεδιαστές που δεν έχουν συμπληρώσει το 40ό έτος της ηλικίας τους (Δεκέμβριος 2019). Σκοπός του προγράμματος είναι η ανάδειξη των 40 πιο υποσχόμενων επαγγελματιών της αρχιτεκτονικής και του βιομηχανικού σχεδιασμού, οι οποίοι πρόκειται να επηρεάσουν τη σύγχρονη κατασκευαστική εποχή με τις νέες και καινοτόμες ιδέες τους, που εργάζονται στις χώρες της Ευρώπης.
Στόχος είναι η ευρύτερη αναγνώριση των 40 πιο ταλαντούχων αρχιτεκτόνων και βιομηχανικών σχεδιαστών με δημιουργική σκέψη που εργάζονται στις χώρες της Ευρώπης.
Πληροφορίες για τους αρχιτέκτονες
Τα έργα (ολοκληρωμένα ή όχι) που μπορούν να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα πρέπει να ανήκουν στις παρακάτω κατηγορίες: εταιρική αρχιτεκτονική, ουρανοξύστες, επαγγελματικοί χώροι, δημόσια κτήρια, θρησκευτικά κτίρια, πολιτικές και πολιτιστικές δομές, αστική ανανέωση, αποκατάσταση / ανακαίνιση κτηρίων, οικιστική αρχιτεκτονική για μονοκατοικίες και πολυκατοικίες, καταστήματα και δημόσιο περιβάλλον. Στο πρόγραμμα μπορούν να συμμετέχουν επαγγελματίες αρχιτέκτονες, αρχιτέκτονες τοπίου και πολεοδόμοι.
Πληροφορίες για τους βιομηχανικούς σχεδιαστές
Τα προϊόντα (κατασκευασμένα ή μόνο σχεδιασμένα) που μπορούν να συμμετέχουν πρέπει να ανήκουν στις κατηγορίες: ηλεκτρονικά είδη, ιατρικός εξοπλισμό, έπιπλα, εργαλεία, εξοπλισμός κουζίνας και μπάνιο, καλύμματα δαπέδου, προϊόντα οικιακής χρήσης. Στο πρόγραμμα μπορούν να συμμετέχουν μόνο επαγγελματίες του βιομηχανικού σχεδιασμού.
Η προθεσμία για δηλώσεις συμμετοχής για το πρόγραμμα 2019 είναι η 15η Δεκεμβρίου 2019.
Η κριτική επιτροπή του προγράμματος (τα μέλη της οποίας και ο τόπος διεξαγωγής θα ανακοινωθούν σύντομα), θα αποτελείται από μια ομάδα διακεκριμένων αρχιτεκτόνων και βιομηχανικών σχεδιαστών, κατασκευαστών, δημοσιογράφων, εκπαιδευτικών και κριτικών και θα επιλέξει μεμονωμένους βιομηχανικούς σχεδιαστές και αρχιτέκτονες βάσει των υποβαλλόμενων τριών έργων τους και για τις καινοτόμες ιδέες τους.

Οι νικητές Europe 40 Under40® θα ανακοινωθούν στις αρχές του 2020. Τα έργα των νικητών θα παρουσιαστούν σε μια ομαδική έκθεση στο THE EUROPEΑN CENTRE, Μητροπόλεως 74, στην Αθήνα το καλοκαίρι του 2020 και θα ταξιδέψει στη συνέχεια στην Ευρώπη.
Όλοι οι βραβευμένοι αρχιτέκτονες και σχεδιαστές θα συμπεριληφθούν στην έκδοση με τίτλο Next New Talented Generation of European Architects & Designers από τις εκδόσεις του οργανισμού Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd.

The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design are pleased to present EUROPE 40 UNDER 40®AWARDS an annual awards program that celebrates the next new talented generation of European architects and industrial designers.
The program is directed to support new and emerging professionals that will influence the near future of European architectural design, thinking, and theory with the direct consequence of impacting future environments, culture, daily life and future European and international cities.
The key is to bring wider recognition to 40 of the most promising emerging architects and industrial designers working in the European Union and other countries inside Europe, fostering and encouraging new talent and creative thinking at the forefront of tomorrow’s profession.
Architects and industrial designers up to 40 years old (as of December 31, 2019) are invited to submit projects to be judged by a committee of distinguished architectural practitioners, developers, architectural and design journalists, educators, and critics.
Participants either working as individual practitioners or collaborating inside an established firm as the principal lead designer/architect of the projects submitted, can only apply as individuals, no firms allowed.
Information for Architects
Eligible projects (built or not) may include corporate architecture, skyscrapers, institutional projects, religious buildings, civic and political structures, planning projects, urban renewal, restoration/renovation, residential architecture for single family and multi-family dwellings, stores, residential or commercial interiors, sports and transportation centers, and public environments.
This is an individual program where only professionals’ architects, landscape architects, urban planners can apply.
Information for Industrial Designers
Eligible products (manufactured or concept) may include electronics, medical equipment, furniture, equipment, hardware, tools, kitchen and bath utilities, floorcovering, tabletop, household products, personal effects, appliances, office products, transportation, children’s products, sports and recreation, lighting and public environments.
This is an individual program where only design professionals can apply.
The deadline for the 2019 program has been extended to DECEMBER 15, 2019.
The jury will select the individual industrial designers and architects based on submitted work and the potential of their impact on the future of the professions.
The results of EUROPE 40 UNDER 40®AWARDS will be announced in early 2020 and will be presented as an exhibition that will open in Athens, at THE EUROPEAN CENTRE during the summer of the same year.
All award-winning architects and designers will be included in the edition entitled Next New Talented Generation of European Architects & Designers by Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd.

New Talented Generation of European Architects and Designers 2
40under40 is a annual program initiated by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies to spotlight and identify the next generation of architects and designers who will impact all forms of architectural and design manifestations in the future.
Regardless the scale; from urban planning to industrial design, the program investigates the innovative approach of young and promising professionals from a wide spectrum of fields, either as individual practitioners or collaborating inside an established firm. The participants were judged by a panel composed by some of the most prestigious architecture academics of The National School of Architecture of Paris – Belleville / École Nationale Supérieure d’ Architecture de Paris-Belleville (ENSAPB) in Belleville, Paris.
Spread across Europe, the selected young recipients for the 2018-2019 yearbook, come from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.
