CLOSELY SEPARATED VASE BY MICAHEL GEERTSEN, WINNER OF SEVERAL AWARDS INCLUDING THE SILVER MEDAL AT THE WORLD CERAMIC BIENNALE IN KOREA - MUUTO DESIGN

Casted porcelain made in plaster tools, hand polished and fired twice is the new design from  Michael Geertsen. This Vase for flowers and branches is able in two different colours. Michael Geertsen operates in the field of arts,  crafts and design. His works are represented in  museums around the world such as Victoria &  Albert, London and Museum of Art & Design, New York. He has won several awards – including the  silver medal at the World Ceramic Biennale in Korea.

Michael Geertsen on the design “Abstract bowls, plates and cups are merged in an intuitive way. Reminding us of the beauty in disharmony and how old things can lead to new, if we change our perspective. The object works on its own, but is given a function  if flowers are added”.
