Το βιβλίο, το οποίο παρουσιάζει τη δουλειά του αρχιτέκτονα και καθηγητή Ζήση Κοτιώνη, διερευνά το εκτεταμένο και ετερογενές αρχιτεκτονικό και καλλιτεχνικό του έργο. Πρόκειται για ένα έργο, το οποίο περιλαμβάνει εγκαταστάσεις, παραστάσεις, χάρτες, βίντεο, αρχιτεκτονική και θεωρία.

Εν τέλει, η αρχιτεκτονική που μας προσφέρει ο Κοτιώνης επιτρέπει τη διατύπωση διάφορων υποθέσεων σχετικά με τις δυνατότητες κατοίκησης του κόσμου, εκκινώντας από την αναγνώριση θεμελιωδών ζητημάτων της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης στη γη.

The book presents the work of the architect and university professor Zissis Kotionis, and it analyzes his large and heterogeneous architectural and artistic production that includes artistic installations, performances, maps, video, built architecture and theoretical texts.
The introductory essay outlines some of the themes that Zissis Kotionis approaches with his work and that can be recognized in his projects as well as in the many books that he published. The catalogue includes seventeen selected works that are organized in an incremental order that starts from the projects at the smaller scale to end showing the ones at the larger scale. The aim of this taxonomy is to bring to the fore the design methodologies used by the architect and that are implemented to in projects at very different scales.
The themes that are investigated in the text are the: the importance of building an archive to inform the practice of architecture; the theory of formativity used as an aesthetic principles that stands behind the production of a work of art; the crucial role of geography to understand the meaning of a place; the relevance of cosmology to reveal the destiny of humans in relation to their place on Earth; the assemblage theory that is conceived as an operative programme for architecture; the world urbanization explained in the relation between the monad (unit) and the multitude (collective).
To conclude, the book investigates the idea of architecture that Kotionis proposes to formulate various hypotheses about the possibility of dwelling. These hypothesis are grounded on the recognition that the fundamental question of human existence is related to the way Man inhabits the World.
