SQUAREONE and Thyssen Krupp propose a new type of airport.

In a world where transportation is key for the seamless flow of people and goods, we have to be extra smart at nodal interchanges such as airports, where diverse transportation media converge.

As airports grow larger and larger and flights more and more frequent, rapid transportation that does not interfere with static functions (waiting at gate, shopping, eating etc.) becomes crucial.

SQUAREONE joins forces with Thyssen Krupp to propose the creation of a closed horizontal loop at 1st floor – based on Thyssen Krupp Multi’s linear motor technology. The never ending loop will be able to move people quickly and efficiently at long distances without interrupting lateral flow as moving walks typically do.
