The building volumes adjust to and accommodate the directions in the landscape, and relate to the existing vegetation. All vegetation is preserved. To enhance the dialogue with the landscape, the roof is shaped like a bridge spanning the rocks. The site and the landscape have been premises for the design of the plot.

The building volumes direct themselves towards the view and various parts of the property, and the roof creates a protected outdoor spot with evening sun. The material palette has been kept to a few materials; white concrete, glass and ash. The roof is executed in white concrete and appears as a smooth and exposed continuous surface throughout, without any additional exterior roofing materials.

“The idea developed to create a way to climb up from this shelter to see the panoramic view over the sea, which led to the characteristic shape of the roof: a stepped ramp leads up from the terrain to the roof,” said the architects.
