Text by the architects
The proposal of the competition was to create a children´s day care in the city of Amsterdam whose starting point was, once again, children playgrounds and public spaces.
Influenced by Aldo’s Van Eyck’s playgrounds and his ideology where the children see the whole city as a playground we wanted to create a space that would become part of Amsterdam and would open up and relate to the city. On that way the proposal combines educational classrooms with patios that set different privacy gradients organized by the basic geometrical shapes, circle square triangle.
