Η κριτική επιτροπή των βραβείων, αφού εξέτασε μια μεγάλη ποικιλία εξαιρετικών ιδεών αρχιτεκτονικής και σχεδίου, επέλεξε τους  40 καλύτερους αρχιτέκτονες και σχεδιαστές  για αυτή την χρονιά.

Το European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies σε συνεργασία με το Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design θα παρουσιάσει τους νικητές «Europe 40 Under 40®» με μια αρχιτεκτονική έκθεση υψηλών προδιαγραφών με τα ανερχόμενα ταλέντα της αρχιτεκτονικής και του βιομηχανικού σχεδιασμού της Ευρώπης για το 2018. Η απονομή των βραβείων και τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης θα πραγματοποιηθούν την Πέμπτη 13 Ιουνίου στις 19.30, στο THE EUROPEAN CENTRE, Μητροπόλεως 74, στη Πλάκα,  με την παρουσία των βραβευμένων αρχιτεκτόνων και σχεδιαστών του προγράμματος.

Το συμβούλιο της επιτροπής έγινε στο Παρίσι στο École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville (ENSAPB) /The National School of Architecture of Paris – Belleville και συμμετείχαν αρχιτέκτονες- καθηγητές της σχολής.

Γεωγραφικά, οι επιλεγμένοι νέοι αρχιτέκτονες  για το 2018 «Europe 40 Under 40®» προέρχονται από Βέλγιο, Γαλλία, Γερμανία, Ελλάδα, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, Ιρλανδία, Ιταλία, Ολλανδία, Πολωνία, Πορτογαλία, Ρωσία, Σλοβενία, Ισπανία και Τουρκία.

Τα έργα και τα μοντέλα των νικητών θα παρουσιαστούν στην αρχιτεκτονική  έκθεση «Europe 40Under40®» από τις 13 έως τις 30 Ιουνίου, στο EUROPEAN CENTRE, Μητροπόλεως 74, στη Πλάκα με ελεύθερη είσοδο για τους επισκέπτες.
Μετά την Αθήνα, η έκθεση έχει προγραμματιστεί να ταξιδέψει στο Παρίσι.

Οι νικητές και τα βραβευμένα έργα τους περιλαμβάνονται στην έκδοση με τίτλο «New Talented Generation of European Architects and Designers 2» που επιμελείται ο πρόεδρος του οργανισμού κ. Ιωάννης Καραλιάς Το βιβλίο διατίθεται και διαδικτυακά στην επίσημη ιστοσελίδα του Μουσείου:  Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd.).

THE SELECTION PROCESS: The forty architects and designers of 2018 were selected by a jury composed by some of the most prestigious architecture academics of The National School of Architecture of Paris – Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Belleville – Ensapb (ENSAPB).
More specifically, this year’s jury was comprised from:
Ioannis Karalias: Chairman of The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, Vice President of The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

THE PROGRAM “EUROPE 40 UNDER 40®”: the program is initiated by The European Center as an annual program to spotlight and identify the next generation of architects and designers who will impact future living and working environments, cities, and rural areas.

The program is open to all young architects, landscape architects, urban planners, industrial designers, graphic designers, fashion and textile designers currently under the age of 40, working independently / in a firm / on a specific project as the lead designer.



USEFUL INFORMATION: “EUROPE 40 UNDER 40®” exhibition’s opening will take place in June 13th, 2019 at EUROPEAN CENTRE (74 Mitropoleos Str). Afterwards, the exhibition is planned to be hosted in Paris.
