The main design philosophy by Elastic Architects was to create an elegant interior that speaks to the vernacular architecture with the use of authentic Mykonian materials. In this special location, the overall design aesthetic was to capture the soul of Nammos Mykonos where luxury, leisure, beach life, fashion and the most memorable parties coexist in perfect harmony.

When London based International Interior design firm Elastic Interiors were approached to design Nammos Dubai, a world famous Mediterranean beach club brand notorious for its vibrant scene, they were elated at the opportunity to develop a new and upcoming destination to include to their roster. The firm led by Partner & Creative Director, Enrique Mangalindan, and Founders Ria Vogiatzi & Alexander Xenos, along with their multi-faceted design team are behind luxurious Resorts such as One & Only, AMAN, Marriott, among others.
Upon arrival, large tiered reflection pools anchored by a single mature palm tree, surround the building façade, reflecting the Dubai sky and gives the illusion of a floating glass structure.
The pool delineated by large stone platform steps, form a bridge between the cobbled stone road and the elevated entry doors. This procession is heightened by the sound of cascading water running on either side of the entry path creating a full sensory experience.
The journey begins with the iconic Mykonian painted fieldstone as the main backdrop to the interior arrival lobby.
Ambient candlelit niches create a warm barrier between arrival and the excitement that lies beyond. The interior of the lobby is adorned with customized suspended light pendants, that resemble illuminated beach pebbles hung in varying heights creating a light filled and playful ceiling plane.
Curated sculptural furniture grounded by hand crafted area rugs are nestled on either side of the lobby, providing a relaxed lounge setting where guests are surrounded by views to the lush garden and reflecting pool.
The furniture upholstery is a selection of light colored natural linen fibers that create a play on texture, while tone on tone patterned textiles celebrate intricate weaving techniques often found in traditional Dubai and Greece craftmanship. These same weaving techniques are integrated into the interior architectural elements through the use of textural rope embellishments that wrap the Kastania screen ceiling and are layered with Lygaria wood beams.
Both Lygaria and Kastania are local to Greece and are commonly used in Mykonian architecture.
The entry corridor separating the arrival lobby and main dining is lined with tall, rich carved wood. In this carved path, the selection of fine wines, the best grade meats and fresh seafood is showcased like fine jewelry behind glass vitrines.

Η κύρια φιλοσοφία του σχεδιασμού του Nammos Dubai από το γραφείο Elastic Architects ήταν να δημιουργηθεί ένα κομψό εσωτερικό που μιλάει στην παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική με τη χρήση αυθεντικών Μυκονιάτικων υλικών. Σε αυτή την ιδιαίτερη τοποθεσία τη Jumeirah, η συνολική αισθητική του σχεδιασμού ήταν η σύλληψη της ψυχής του Nammos Mykonos, όπου η πολυτέλεια, η αναψυχή, η παραλία, η μόδα συνυπάρχουν σε τέλεια αρμονία.
Η κύρια φιλοσοφία του σχεδιασμού ήταν να δημιουργήσει ένα κομψό εσωτερικό με αναφορές στην παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική της Μυκόνου. Σε αυτήν τη μοναδική τοποθεσία, η συνολική αισθητική του σχεδιασμού ήταν η σύλληψη της ψυχής του Nammos Mykonos, όπου η πολυτέλεια, η αναψυχή, η παραλία, η μόδα και τα πιο αξιομνημόνευτα μέρη συνυπάρχουν σε τέλεια αρμονία.
Κατά την άφιξή τους οι πελάτες συναντούν πολυεπίπεδα στοιχεία νερού, που περιβάλλουν την πρόσοψη του κτιρίου, αντικατοπτρίζοντας τον ουρανό του Ντουμπάι και δίνουν την ψευδαίσθηση μιας κυμαινόμενης γυάλινης δομής. Τα στοιχεία νερού οροθετούνται από μεγάλα πέτρινα σκαλοπάτια, που σχηματίζουν μια γέφυρα ανάμεσα στον λιθόστρωτο δρόμο και τις υπερυψωμένες πόρτες της εισόδου. Η εμπειρία ενισχύεται από τον ήχο του νερού που τρέχει σε κάθε πλευρά της διαδρομής δημιουργώντας μια ολοκληρωμένη αισθητικά εμπειρία.
Το ταξίδι ξεκινάει εικονικά, με την ζωγραφιστή Μυκονιάτικη πέτρα ως το κύριο σκηνικό, οδηγώντας τον επισκέπτη στα ενδότερα. Οι φωτισμένες από τα κεριά εσοχές, δημιουργούν ένα θερμό σύνορο μεταξύ της στιγμή άφιξης και του επικείμενου ενθουσιασμού. Τα κρεμαστά φωτιστικά, που μοιάζουν με βότσαλα, καθορίζουν την πορεία του επισκέπτη. Τα χειροποίητα έπιπλα πλαισιωμένα από χειροποίητα χαλιά της περιοχής στέκουν φωτιζόμενα σε κάθε πλευρά της εισόδου, παρέχοντας γωνιές χαλάρωσης για τους επισκέπτες, όπου περιτριγυρίζονται από την θέα του καταπράσινου κήπου και την αντανάκλαση της πισίνας.
Η κύρια φιλοσοφία του σχεδιασμού ήταν να δημιουργήσει ένα κομψό εσωτερικό με αναφορές στην παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική της Μυκόνου.
Η επιλογή της ταπετσαρίας των επίπλων χαρακτηρίζεται από τις ανοιχτόχρωμες φυσικές ίνες λινών που δημιουργούν ένα παιχνίδι υφής, βάση περίπλοκων τεχνικών ύφανσης που συχνά συναντώνται στην παραδοσιακές τέχνες των Εμιράτων και της Ελλάδας. Αυτές οι ίδιες τεχνικές ύφανσης ενσωματώνονται στα εσωτερικά αρχιτεκτονικά στοιχεία με τη χρήση διακοσμητικών κλαδιών Λυγαριάς που συνθέτουν την οροφή και είναι στρωμένες με ξύλινα δοκάρια Καστανιάς. Τόσο η Λυγαριά όσο και η Καστανιά είναι τοπικά στην Ελλάδα και χρησιμοποιούνται ευρέως στη μυκονιάτικη αρχιτεκτονική.
Ο διάδρομος εισόδου που χωρίζει το lobby και το κύριο χώρο εστιατορίου είναι επενδυμένο με ψηλό, πλούσιο λαξευμένο ξύλο. Σε αυτό το σκαλιστό μονοπάτι, η επιλογή των εκλεκτών κρασιών και τα φρέσκα θαλασσινά παρουσιάζονται σαν τα κοσμήματα πίσω από τις γυάλινες βιτρίνες.
