“Mi casa es tu casa”. That’s the spirit of the new boutique hotel in Rhodes, by Thomas Cook Group.    

 

Casa Cook Rhodes has moved to another level of individualized hotel offerings. Its aim is to create hotels that connect and inspire travelers.    

 

The 90-room hotel located on the Greek island of Rhodes, just a few minutes’ walk distance from the sparkling Aegean Sea, brings together a modern take on traditional Greek architecture with a warm bohemian style. Rooms filled with large windows and private terrace, offers mountain views and direct access to a long turquoise blue swimming pool. The kitchen club and a breezy bar surround the main pool and welcome guests to enjoy.    

 

Water dominates the place, yet in ancient Greek is “the gift that Gaia offers to her hosts’’.    

 

The site offers uninterrupted views from the east to west, to the mountain of Tsambika. Low white volumes of the buildings, placed gently on the site, meet untamed and dramatic landscape with a strong unique character.    

 

The hotel architecture, emphasizes on the interaction of nature and habitable environment. This interaction, is expressed through the fluidity of the boundaries between artificial and natural, while the structure discreetly blends into the scenery, with simple, chaste formations stripped off of any unnecessary decorations. Characteristically, the transitional outbuilding constitutes a harmonic passage from indoors to outdoors. This structure is also a vibrant indication of traditional Greek architecture.  

 

Interiors are inspired from travels around the world. Vintage pieces, handmade objects and rare treasures create a fresh and colorful ambiance, with accents of exposed stone walls, timber decks and pergolas, while the bright rooms are strewn with woven straw poufs, rough throws, retro wire chairs and rough cotton.    

 

Highlight of the interior design are the marvelous tropical murals in the reception area and in the restaurant, uniquely illustrated for the project.
