The established event for the industrial design is called Design Under Roof and this year will be held in Onassis Cultural Centre, in October 25th. Principal topic of this year’s open day is “The Road to Extroversion”.
 
In Greece, industrial design has not found its evolving path yet, however this does not mean that there are no competent and creative professionals of knowledge, imagination and vision. People who, through their work, can fairly claim, and in some cases they have already gained, their share of success in the international market. The successful case studies, though few in quantity, do exist and the specific third organization aims at, on the one hand highlighting them and on the other hand suggesting and analyzing in which ways the Greek design may find its road to extroversion.
 
Each invited rapporteur will examine the topic from a different perspective. More specifically, the conference will be formed in the following way: Thanos Zakopoulos (Ctrl Zak) – Working in an international environment, Giannis Marios Psimadas (BiC) – A Greek design group addressed to the entire world, Alexandros Didaskalou (Designlab) – The steps from conception to the export of an idea, Evangelos Vasiliou – Following the road of immigration, Sotiris Lazou – Exporting strategy and the Greek reality. The conference will be coordinated by Dimitres Skourogiannis Designer and Head of Industrial Design Studies at AKTO College.

The event will be concluded with a roundtable discussion where representatives of the design and business community, academy and public institutions will take participate. Coordinator of the discussion will be Yiannis Ghikas.
 
The attendees will get a nominative attendance certificate.
