Project`s aim is creation of a residential and commercial building in the center of Volos City (Central Greece), in Metamorfosis area in a ground surrounded by Metamorfoseos-Ermou-Borel-Platonos street. Usage reinforcement of public space inside as well as outside of the building is a central axis of the project. According to a previous programme it is going to happen at the Metamorfoseos-Ermou junction in front of the building and the university library, where many musical and other cultural happenings last years occur. Extension of public space is also proposed for the building inside with the creation of glass surrounded lounge and a small cinema at the second level with independent access to the visitors. Significant point of the project is the usage of Borel st. facade balconies as corridors, leading to a third public space. In the ground level there is unobstructed view to all directions even from around narrow streets.
