This project is a proposal for a new branding to improve the identity and the communication of TMB (Transports Municipals de Barcelona) which is the public transportation corporation of the city of Barcelona. The main feature of a transportation corporation like TMB is motion. We can say that motion involves a change in position that draws a path in the space. This resulting path becomes the identity. The most important goal of this design was to offer a dynamic branding that changes and transforms itself according to the message being delivered. The idea was that the identity of TMB became recognizable in every different space where was found without being repetitive or boring. It communicates “motion”.

Eric Codina is a graphic designer based in Barcelona. He specializes in branding and packaging. He believes in ideas. His motto is: a great idea does not need any decoration.
