To Hyper Hypo εγκαινιάζει την Ανοιξιάτικη περίοδο παρουσιάζοντας τη νέα δουλειά του εικαστικού Φίλιππου Θεοδωρίδη με τίτλο because it’s Spring.
O καλλιτέχνης εμπνέεται από το ποίημα because it’s του e. e. cummings και ζωγραφίζει στο iPad φόρμες φυτών και λουλουδιών, ως ασκήσεις χαλάρωσης στον ελεύθερο χρόνο του. Κάποια από αυτά τα φυτά φαίνονται να μεταμορφώνονται σε οντότητες με σώματα ανθρωπίνων αναλογιών, προσελκύοντας τον θεατή σ’ ένα παιχνίδι ψευδαίσθησης και ανθρωπομορφισμού. Τα έργα με τους τολμηρούς χρωματικούς συνδυασμούς θα εκτεθούν ως limited edition giclée prints υπογεγραμμένα από τον καλλιτέχνη.
Ο Φίλιππος Θεοδωρίδης (γ.1978) γεννήθηκε στη Λεμεσό της Κύπρου. Εργάζεται ως ζωγράφος και εικονογράφος και έχει συνεργαστεί με διάφορες γκαλερί και έντυπα. Έχει παρουσιάσει ατομικές εκθέσεις σε Αθήνα και Κύπρο, έχει συμμετάσχει σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό και εκπροσωπείται από τη γκαλερί Ζουμπουλάκη. Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα.

Hyper Hypo launches its Spring season by presenting new works from artist Philippos Theodoridis, entitled because it’s Spring.
The artist, inspired by the poem “because it’s” by e. e. cummings, has been drawing plant and flower-forms on his iPad, as relaxation exercises in his free time. Some of these plants seem to transform into entities with human-like proportions, teasing the viewer into a game of illusion and anthropomorphism. These bold, colorful works will be exhibited as limited edition giclée prints signed by the artist.
Philippos Theodoridis (b.1978) was born in Limassol, Cyprus. He works as a painter and illustrator and has collaborated with various galleries and publications. He has held solo exhibitions in Athens and Cyprus, participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, and is represented by Zoumboulakis Gallery. He lives and works in Athens.
