Kometka architecture studio took over the design of M27 apartment. The architects designed the renovation of an 85m2 apartment in the area of Metaxourgeio, Athens. Main goal for the interior design is to reflect the ambiance of the complex itself: tranquility, cleanliness, timelessness. The apartment, gives the feeling of a residence that offers both emotional and physical security.
The apartment is situated within a renowned and award-winning residential complex in the Metaxourgeio area. While the spaces may be modestly sized -totaling 85m2-, they feature intriguing views onto the complex’s inner courtyard.
The choices in the interior design reflect the ambiance of the complex itself: tranquility, cleanliness, timelessness. Thus, the design incorporates clean shapes and geometries, vibrant colors, and materials with a pronounced sense of materiality. Similarly to the architectural complex, the chosen materials are not luxurious: exposed concrete, cost-effective plywood, metal, and mosaic tiles.
Despite the modesty of these materials, the minimalist design and sleek lines impart a sense of space dominated by thoughtful design. Metaxourgeio is a bustling area. Therefore, the contrast between the hustle and bustle outside and the serene oasis of the complex, and even more so of the apartment, becomes particularly pronounced, giving the feeling of a residence that offers both emotional and physical security.

Το γραφείο kometka architecture studio ανέλαβε την ανακαίνιση ενός διαμερίσματος σε βραβευμένο συγκρότημα κατοικιών στο Μεταξουργείο. Στόχος ήταν το διαμέρισμα να αποπνέει αίσθηση ηρεμίας, καθαρότητας και διαχρονικότητας. Για το λόγο αυτό επιλέχθηκαν σχεδιαστικά καθαρές γεωμετρίες, ζωηρά χρώματα και έντονη υλικότητα.
Το διαμέρισμα βρίσκεται σε γνωστό και βραβευμένο συγκρότημα κατοικιών της περιοχής του Μεταξουργείου. Οι χώροι είναι αρκετά μικροί -συνολικό μέγεθος διαμερίσματος 85m2– αλλά με ιδιαίτερα ενδιαφέρουσες φυγές προς την εσωτερική αυλή του συγκροτήματος.
Οι επιλογές στον σχεδιασμό του εσωτερικού, ανταποκρίνονται στην αίσθηση που αποπνέει και το ίδιο το συγκρότημα: ηρεμία, καθαρότητα, διαχρονικότητα. Έτσι επιλέχθηκαν καθαρά σχήματα και γεωμετρίες, ζωντανά χρώματα και υλικά με έντονη υλικότητα.
Όπως και στο κτηριακό συγκρότημα, έτσι και εδώ, τα υλικά δεν είναι πολυτελή: εμφανές σκυρόδεμα, οικονομικό κόντρα πλακέ θαλάσσης, μέταλλο, πλακίδια μωσαϊκού. Παρά την απλότητά των υλικών όμως, ο λιτός σχεδιασμός και οι καθαρές γραμμές, δίνουν την αίσθηση ενός χώρου που κυριαρχεί το design.
Το Μεταξουργείο είναι μία περιοχή πολύβουη. Η αντίθεση λοιπόν μεταξύ του έξω και της ήρεμης νησίδας του συγκροτήματος και ακόμη περισσότερο του διαμερίσματος, γίνεται ιδιαίτερα έντονη, δίνοντας την αίσθηση μίας κατοικίας που προσφέρει τόσο συναισθηματική όσο και φυσική ασφάλεια.
