DINNERWARE DESIGNED BY CHRISTOS KOUKIS / XUBERANCE

The project embodies the juxtaposition between colliding elements such as the precision of 3d printing with the fragile elegancy of its linework, the traditional formal imagery of the tableware, expressed through contemporary aesthetics and the severity of the design flow.

It is an openly emotional design dictated by raw expressionism and romantic ornamental quality with respect to the functionality of each piece. The aim is the creation of something that looks and feels familiar but it is not.

About Christos Koukis

Christos Koukis grew up in Athens Greece and was educated in University of Patras Department of Architecture before moving to Austria to complete his post graduate degree in the University for Applied Arts in Vienna under the guidance of professor Hernan diaz Alonso, where he graduated with distinction.

In January 2014 he joined the Xuberance team in Shanghai as a senior designer working in a variety of projects, producing work that ranges from jewlery design to high rise buildings and also assisting in design workshops organised and taught by Xuberance principals.
