The Festival brings together exhibitions and exchanges around an international competition open to young designers. In a manner similar to its fashion and photography festival, Design Parade furthers the assistance the villa noailles provides towards young artists and unites designers, industry professionals, journalists and the public.

The Design Parade 8 selection of the ten shortlisted designers took place in Le Lieu du Design on Monday May 13th, in presence of the members of the jury. This year almost 250 applications have been sent, from 34 countries. After a first selection, 64 dossiers were presented to the members of the jury. They shortlisted the 10 competing designers. The 10 competing designers will show their works in villa Noailles during three month. They will meet individually the jury during the festival. On Sunday July 7th, the last day of the festival, the jury will award one designer by the Grand Prix and one by the Conseil Général du Var Award. The competing designers’ collective exhibition in villa Noailles will be open until September 29th 2013, as the other Design Parade 8 exhibitions.
