Την Tετάρτη 25 Οκτωβρίου 2023, στις 7:30μμ θα παρουσιαστεί στο project space του βιβλιοπωλείου Hyper Hypo (Βορέου 10, 10551 Αθήνα), η νέα δουλειά μεταξοτυπιών της εικονογράφου Christina K. με τίτλο “Soft Format”.
Mε τον τίτλο “Soft Format” παρουσιάζεται στο project space του βιβλιοπωλείου Hyper Hypo η νέα δουλειά μεταξοτυπιών της εικονογράφου Christina K. Κάθε κομμάτι της καινούργιας συλλογής χαρακτηρίζεται από την ιδιαίτερη τεχνική της μονοτυπίας, όπου χρώμα και ρευστή φόρμα αναμειγνύονται πειραματικά. Τα έργα αποτυπώνουν εικόνες από τον κόσμο της μόδας, μια θεματολογία που διαχρονικά εμπνέει τη δημιουργό.
Η Christina K. (γ. 1980) είναι Ελληνίδα καλλιτέχνης που ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. Από την αποφοίτηση της το 2003 από το London College of Communication ασχολείται επαγγελματικά με την εικονογράφηση, την μεταξοτυπία και τον κινηματογράφο. Έχει συνεργαστεί μεταξύ άλλων με τις εταιρείες Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mother London, Levi’s, La Perla, Vogue, De Beers. Έχει επίσης αναλάβει δουλειές για τον σχεδιασμό μοτίβων σε υφάσματα και ταπετσαρίες, ωστόσο η τρέχουσα και συνεχιζόμενη προσωπική της εργασία επικεντρώνεται στον πειραματισμό με τη μονοτυπία.
Mε αφορμή την έκθεση “Soft Format”, το Hyper Hypo έχει εκδώσει ένα zine και σειρά αφισών με επιλογές από τα έργα της δημιουργού.

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 7:30pm, the new silkscreen work of illustrator Christina K. entitled “Soft Format” will be presented at the project space of the Hyper Hypo bookstore (Voreou 10, 10551 Athens).
‘Soft Format’ is a new body of work by Athens-based printmaker and illustrator Christina K., presented in the project space of the bookstore Hyper Hypo. Each piece in the series features her signature monoprinting technique, artfully blending an experimental sense of colour and loose form. The works are drawn from the world of fashion, an endless source of inspiration for the artist.
Christina K. is a Greek artist born in 1980 who has been working in illustration, printmaking and film ever since she graduated from London College of Communication in 2003. She has worked with a wide range of clients such as Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mother London, Levi’s, La Perla, Vogue, De Beers and others. She has also been commissioned to create drawings for textile and wallpaper design but her current and ongoing personal work maintains a strong focus on experimenting with monoprinting.
On the occasion of the exhibition “Soft Format”, Hyper Hypo has published a zine and a series of posters, featuring a selection of works by the artist.
