The architectural office architectScripta collaborated with “Nexus Properties – Real Estate Development” to design and construct the OnyxFLY luxury apartment building, in Athens. An impressive construction with innovative design that offers a unique spatial experience.

Guided by the invisible and in research of hovering as a spatial experience, architectScripta designed the new OnyxFLY luxury apartment building in exclusive collaboration with Nexus Properties – Real Estate Development.

The upraising rotational rythm of the black curved balconies, emphasizes the characteristic view of the white volume towards the road. architectScripta with their signature design of Formal exploration, allow the black concept to surround the white neutral volume of the luxurious apartments. The curved ‘onyxes’ are rotated continuously with the protrusions of the plates on the side, to end inwards at the conical black core of the staircase.

architectScripta is an Architectural platform founded in 2007 in New York by Nefeli Chatzimina and Nikos Papavasileiou. It is based on experimental design techniques and digital construction technology with projects in Athens and Manhattan. Nefeli has taught at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and has worked for her Columbia University professor -BernardTschumi-. architectScripta office work has been published and presented at exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, London, Mumbai, Pune, India and Athens.

Design philosophy focuses on the invisible and floating quality of space as an Object. In the context of a flat architectural ontology where everything is considered as an Object -even the spatial experience or the visitor- architectScripta defies the traditional power of scale and use.

 

The original design proposals for each project act as abstract machines, as generic diagrammatic forms that adapt in multiple ways to each Topos but evolve with the use and scale to form the final architectural object / product.


ArchitectScripta follows an exclusive collaboration with Nexus Properties – Real Estate Development who implement their projects through pioneering buildings at the forefront of design technology and digital construction. In direct contact with the suppliers for the necessary value engineering but mainly with the support of Nexus Properties, architectScripta manage to combine the schedule and the budget of the projects with the application of emergent construction technologies for building scale.

Το αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο architectScripta συνεργάστηκε με την εταιρεία “Nexus Properties – Real Estate Development”, για το σχεδιασμό και την κατασκευή του κτιρίου πολυτελών διαμερισμάτων OnyxFLY, στην πόλη της Αθήνας. Πρόκειται για μια εντυπωσιακή κατασκευή με πρωτοποριακή μορφή και χώρους που προσφέρουν μια μοναδική χωρική εμπειρία.

Με γνώμονα το αόρατο και με αναζήτηση την αίσθηση της αιώρησης στο Χώρο οι architectScripta σχεδίασαν τα νέα πολυτελή διαμερίσματα της πολυκατοικίας OnyxFLY υπό κατασκευή σε αποκλειστική συνεργασία με την Nexus Properties – Real Estate Development. Η καθύψος ρυθμική περιστροφή των καμπύλων μαύρων εξωστών, τονίζει τη χαρακτηριστική όψη του λευκού όγκου προς το δρόμο. Με τη χαρακτηριστική τους σχεδιαστική επεξεργασία της Μορφής, αφήνουν το concept να περιβάλλει τον λευκό ουδέτερο όγκο των πολυτελών κατοικιών. Οι καμπύλοι ‘όνυχες’ περιστρέφονται σαν συνέχεια με τις προεξοχές των πλακών στο πλάι, για να καταλήξουν εσωτερικά στον κωνοειδή μαύρο core όγκο του κλιμακοστασίου.

Οι architectScripta είναι η Αρχιτεκτονική πλατφόρμα που ιδρύθηκε το 2007 στη Νέα Υόρκη από τη Νεφέλη Χατζημηνά και το Νίκο Παπαβασιλείου. Βασίζεται σε πειραματικές τεχνικές σχεδιασμού και ψηφιακή τεχνολογία κατασκευής με έργα στην Αθήνα και στο Μανχάταν. Η Νεφέλη έχει διδάξει στο πανεπιστήμιο University of Southern California του Λος Άντζελες και έχει εργαστεί για τον καθηγητή της στο Columbia University -BernardTschumi-. Ο Νίκος σπούδασε και έχει διδάξει στο Εθνικό Μετσόβειο Πολυτεχνείο. Τα έργα του γραφείου έχουν δημοσιευθεί και παρουσιαστεί σε εκθέσεις στην Νέα Υόρκη, στο Λος Άντζελες, στο Λονδίνο, στην Βομβάη, στην Πούνα της Ινδίας και στην Αθήνα.

Η φιλοσοφία του σχεδιασμού τους ασχολείται με το αόρατο κ το αιωρούμενο του χώρου ως αντικείμενο. Στο πλαίσιο μίας επίπεδης αρχιτεκτονικής οντολογίας όπου τα πάντα θεωρούνται ως Αντικείμενα ακόμα και η χωρική εμπειρία ή και ο επισκέπτης / δέκτης, οι architectScripta αψηφούν την παραδοσιακή δύναμη της κλίμακας και της χρήσης. Οι αρχικές σχεδιαστικές προτάσεις για κάθε έργο δρουν ως αφηρημένες μηχανές, ως γενόσημες διαγραμματικές Μορφές που προσαρμόζονται με πολλαπλούς τρόπους σε κάθε Τόπο / οικόπεδο και συνεχίζουν να εξελίσσονται με οδηγό τη χρήση και την κλίμακα ώστε να διαμορφώσουν το τελικό αρχιτεκτονικό αντικείμενο / προϊόν.

Οι architectScripta με αποκλειστική συνεργασία την Nexus Properties – Real Estate Development υλοποιούν τα έργα τους στην Αθήνα με πρωτοπόρα κτίρια στην αιχμή της τεχνολογίας του σχεδιασμού και της ψηφιακής κατασκευής. Σε άμεση επαφή με τους προμηθευτές για το απαραίτητο value engineering αλλά κυρίως με τη στήριξη της Nexus Properties καταφέρνουν να συγκεράσουν το χρονοδιάγραμμα και τον προϋπολογισμό των έργων με την εφαρμογή της πιο σύγχρονης τεχνολογίας κατασκευής στην κλίμακα κτιρίου.
