Mandalaki Studio presents in the exhibition ICFF in New York a line of projects born from the desire to experiment with new possibilities from integrating technology and furniture.”Life Is Changing”, the title of the exhibition, aims to tell and contain in itself the thinking that underlies the research activities of the studio.

In a world dominated by technology, rapidly evolving, the aim is to reflect on the meaning of today`s design of a chair, a table or a lamp. The creative process stems from the clear analysis of the daily life and tries to give concrete answers to the new ergonomic, aesthetic and cultural needs. The main concepts presented in New York are those of integration, Energy-sharing and soft technology.

The relationship with electronic devices is changing rapidly, and the number of portable applications is growing day by day: for this reason the Studio has as its target the development of a set of appliances for the home and office that integrate access to electricity, ease of assembly, and adapt to new needs in order to simplify the user`s actions.

The issue of soft energy is understood as a design method which allows the non-perception of the technology used. This kind of research aims to completely hide the technology at the base of the object. The project is therefore intended as a research carried out in order to simplify the lives of people.
