1OAM apotheke flagship store in Athens is evolving; founder & creative director Eva Papadaki in close collaboration with Studio Andrew Trotter & Gavalas and Ioannidou Architecture enrich our weekends with a new bakery and in-house café calling for softly paced mornings and evenings that gather us all.

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language, and next year’s words await another voice,” writes T.S. Eliot, and Eva Papadaki’s voice seems to re-interpret and re-shape the Greek word ‘φιλεύω (filévo)’, weaving meaningful pauses and highly anticipated moments within the urban fabric of our fast-paced contemporary world.

With origins in the ancient Greek word ‘φιλέω (phileō)’, meaning having amicable feelings, φιλεύω (filévo) in modern Greek language means offering heartily something—most commonly food and beverages—with kindness, care, and, ultimately, love.

Following this conscious path, the founder of 1OAM Apotheke opens a new chapter in the brand’s flagship store in Psyrri, Athens, with the launch of its own in-house café and bakery which, as Eva says, “feels less like retail and more like entering a lived-in home.”

Every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the space hosts gatherings, meetings, and chats, introducing its guests to the rhythms of slow village-style mornings and come-together evenings. Warm bread baked in-house, tahini buns drizzled with 1OAM’s organic thyme honey, ladenia with herbs and fresh tomatoes, walnut cake made with in-house organic olive oil and fleur de sel, teas from signature Cretan herbs such as malotira, sage, and dittany, natural Greek wines, and Red Jane coffee, roasted exclusively for the new café of the brand, enhance, deliciously, the already refined 10AM experience.

Eva Papadaki’s world, built around hand-made objects, distinctive Greek scents, and freshly served nourishment products, encourages its precious guests to embrace pleasure, treat the space as their own, experience it fully, and maybe even fall in love.
