In a location on the southern coast of Crete overlooking the sea, the mountains, and the nearby village, the team of Paly Architects design a summer residence composed of three interconnected volumes. The materials selected for the architectural proposal, the scale of the spaces, and the treatment of the terrain aim to create a relationship with the surrounding landscape.

Three clear, distinct volumes, connected by transparent glass necks, form the residence.

Embedded in the hillside and built with local materials, it enters into dialogue with the rugged landscape of Southern Crete.

The composition, minimal and geometric, stands in silent contrast to the neighboring sheepfold, while subtly relating to it through the honesty of its forms.

Sheltered by the hill, it opens toward views of the settlement, the sea, and the mountains.

An architecture that does not impose itself on the landscape—it integrates, breathes, and belongs.

Σε μια τοποθεσία της Νότιας Κρήτης με θέα προς την θάλασσα, τα βουνά και τον γειτονικό οικισμό, σχεδιάζεται από την ομάδα των Paly architects μια καλοκαιρινή κατοικία ως σύνθεση τριών διασυνδεδεμένων όγκων. Τα υλικά που επιλέγονται για την αρχιτεκτονική πρόταση, η κλίμακα των χώρων και οι χειρισμοί διαμόρφωσης του εδάφους επιδιώκουν να συσχετιστούν με το περιβάλλον τοπίο. 

Τρεις καθαροί, διακριτοί όγκοι, ενωμένοι με διαφανείς γυάλινους λαιμούς, συγκροτούν την κατοικία.

Ενταγμένη στον λόφο με υλικά του τόπου, συνομιλεί με το τραχύ τοπίο της Νότιας Κρήτης.

Η σύνθεση, απέριττη και γεωμετρική, έρχεται σε σιωπηλή αντιπαράθεση με τη διπλανή στάνη, αλλά και σε διακριτική συγγένεια, μέσα από την ειλικρίνεια των μορφών.

Προστατευμένη από το λόφο, ανοίγεται προς τη θέα του οικισμού, της θάλασσας και των βουνών.

Μια αρχιτεκτονική που δεν επιβάλλεται στο τοπίο – ενσωματώνεται, αναπνέει και ανήκει.
