Pluslines designs Lucky No5, an urban bar in Trikala, blending industrial and pop influences. Both the façade and interior are tailored to meet the functional needs of the bar while reflecting a distinct design philosophy. Colour and artificial lighting play a key role in shaping the space’s character and atmosphere.

Pop & Industrial Identity

In the heart of the city, Lucky No5 emerges as an urban bar that breaks away from convention, blending industrial rawness with a vivid pop sensibility.

The result is a space that feels both authentic and playful, a setting where everyday ritual meets vibrant design.

The main idea was to create a place with an urban character, with strict lines and no superfluous details added. Industrial with pop influences were the main inspiration for the project.

The whole space of the bar is straightforward, with clear strict lines, clear geometrical shapes, that you can find in the whole construction of the building and we attempt to create an URBAN FRESH SPACE.

In the 38 square metres of the basement, it was necessary to design the main bar, the space that the products will be prepared for the customers and a support production point and in the 25 square meters of the first floor we had to design the wc and an extra open space.

Located at the corner of a small urban arcade, Lucky No5 takes full advantage of its unique setting.

The storefront opens up with large window frames and a continuous counter that blurs the line between inside and outside. This design gesture allows guests to sit comfortably both indoors and outdoors, creating a seamless transition between the sheltered arcade and the vibrant interior of the café-bar.

The outdoor seating area extends the atmosphere of the space into the public realm.

Light blue metal chairs and tables mirror the playful tones of the interior, while a striped orange-and-blue awning adds a cheerful, recognizable touch to the façade. The illuminated signage above the entrance and the violet glow spilling out from the bar invite passersby to step into the energetic world of Lucky No5.

Upon entering, the eye is immediately drawn to the bold three-dimensional signage perched on the mezzanine: LUCKY NO5. More than simple branding, this statement piece anchors the entire identity of the project, acting as both architectural feature and visual landmark.

The architectural language is defined by contrasts.

Walls and ceiling are left intentionally raw, with exposed concrete and worn plaster revealing the building’s history. This industrial backdrop creates a neutral canvas that allows color and light to take center stage.

The flooring adopts a terrazzo look, grounding the space with subtle texture and durability, while providing balance to the boldness of the surrounding palette.

At the center lies the bar, designed as the focal point of activity and interaction. Its green metal base and minimal surfaces express strength and clarity, while slender blue stools with circular seats add a playful note. Behind, open shelving in deep blue integrates everyday objects—glasses, utensils, ingredients—into the overall visual narrative, making functionality part of the design language.

Lighting plays a key role in shaping the spatial experience.

Linear fixtures highlight the industrial ceiling, while spherical wall lamps soften the atmosphere with a theatrical touch. A violet LED strip behind the bar introduces depth and a subtle club-like mood, allowing the space to shift seamlessly from a daytime café to a nighttime bar.

Green, blue, and orange define the chromatic identity of Lucky No5.

These strong, contrasting tones evoke a pop sensibility, while the neutral terrazzo floor and raw surfaces ensure visual balance. Together, they form a character that energizes the interior.

On one hand, the industrial base: exposed structures, raw materials, visible imperfections. On the other, the pop dimension: bold color interventions, graphic-like signage, playful details.

This duality creates a space that is not only a venue for coffee or drinks but also an experience of design—a place where the honesty of industrial architecture meets the vitality of pop culture, resulting in an atmosphere that is both distinctive and engaging.
