Giorgos Sfakianakis was born in Athens, Greece. He studied Physics in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in 2011 he attended the course `Photography, Art and Architecture` at Saint Martins College of Art & Architecture in London, UK.
Giorgos works as a Freelance Photographer specializing in Architectural Photography and many of his photographed projects have been published in Greece and abroad.
His philosophy is based on the concept that each piece of work, regardless of subject, person or nature, only when photographed at the right time, with the right light from a right angle, designates the uniqueness of its identity.
His so far career counts two personal exhibitions; `Between Lines & Curves` in 2010 and `Dividing Space` in 2011, several group exhibitions as well as International Awards. In 2011 he was awarded in the `Capture International Architectural Photography Competition` of Opengap and his photograph `Time` was exhibited in Madrid, Spain, whereas in 2013 he was awarded in the `Travel and Leisure Awards 2013` for photoshooting the Best Retail Space in the World (Sweet Alchemy by Parliaros, designed by Kois Associated Architects).
